NVMe M2 SSD SSHD HDD DISK
This is the essential place of your PC. The place where the soul of the computer, or the operating system, hides. Its parameters greatly affect the response of your PC and its choice is very important. With our PCs, it is basically always a configuration of SSD for the operating system and HDD for your photos, movies, etc.
Now we will break down the individual storage technologies and talk about how they affect your PC.
HDD
The most common basic and most well-known model of a hard disk. It is based on the principle of electromagnetic writing to the surface of "platters" (metallized disks made of metal or glass with a magnetically codeable surface) thanks to the writing and reading "heads" (mechanical arm with a ferrite or other micro block for magnetizing the surface). Its rotation speed is basically 5400 rpm./sec. and for very fast disks 7200 rpm. This parameter is important because it determines the reading and writing speed. Normally, such disks reach a reading - writing speed of 90MB/s. - 80MB/s. for disks with 7200 rpm it is approximately 120MB/s - 119MB/s. And then there is the response of a regular HDD, the response is within 10-25 milliseconds. They are the slowest disks in our storage family so far. They are suitable for storing music, movies, backups and generally for archiving purposes. They are generally the cheapest and slowest.
sshd
SSHD is a regular HDD that also has an 8-16GB SSD fast module. As a buffer memory into which the "live" part of the operating system and the most used part of the SW are played when the computer starts, so that the response of these files is as fast as possible. SSHD is about 25-30% faster than HDD, but when loading large files, the speed drops to a regular HDD. SSHD is, you could say, a blind development branch, it served as a leap to pure SSDs without mechanical parts and as a springboard for their architecture and development of internal controllers, and today it is practically no longer used and sold.
SSD
SSD is a modern disk that does not have any mechanical components, it has an extreme data access speed within 25-100 microseconds, which is more than 10x faster than a regular HDD, which has a huge impact on the operating system. Thanks to the SSD, the system will start up within 10 seconds of turning on the computer, compared to a regular HDD, where the system can only start up in 35-60 seconds. Another advantage of SSD is basically up to 5 times faster loading of applications, as the average speed of multiple writes is 550MB/s. – 530MB/s. So games load quickly, video renders faster, copying happens faster. and all this in the long term, since the SSD has high efficiency and thus practically does not heat up, its performance does not decrease with current load.
The speed of the SSD disk fundamentally affects the speed of the operating system, especially the latest Windows 10 and Windows 11
In general, 450 MByte is sufficient — this is Mega Bytes, which corresponds to 4200 Mbits per second.
Speeds from around 2500 and more..
