Kaspa is a verified cryptocurrency that implements GHOSTDAG protocol . Unlike traditional blockchains, GHOSTDAG does not orphan blocks created in parallel, rather it allows them to coexist and orders them based on consensus. Our blockchain is actually block-based DAY ; you can see GHOSTDAG in action at blockDAG visualizer in real time ). This generalization of the Nakamoto consensus allows secure operation while maintaining very high block rates (currently one block per second, target 10/s, dreaming of 100/s) and tiny confirmation times dominated by Internet latency (cf. Chap. 6. paper for some initial benchmarks). Implementation Kaspa contains lots of cool features and subprotocols including Reachability for querying the DAG topology, pruning block data (s plans to trim block headers in the near future ), SPV proofs and later subnet support, which will make future implementation of Layer 2 solutions much easier.

Kaspa is a community project, completely open source, no central control, no business model. Think Bitcoin, Litecoin, Monero, grin, Kaspa. The mainnet was openly launched without pre-mining or any other pre-allocation of coins etc etc.
