Biostar introduced a mining farm based on eight Radeon RX 6600 with a performance of 248 Mhash/s

Biostar introduced the iMiner 660MX8D2 mining farm, which is based on eight Radeon RX 6600 graphics accelerators based on the RDNA 2 architecture. The manufacturer declares support for the most popular GPU-mined cryptocurrencies, including Etheureum, Ethereum Classic, Ravencoin, Ergo, etc. .

Two months earlier, Biostar also released the iMiner A588X8D2 farm, which includes eight Radeon RX 580 graphics cards. Its mining performance Etherea is up to 232 Mhash/s. For the new iMiner 660MX8D2 system based on eight Radeon RX 6600s, the performance is declared at 248 Mhash/s, i.e. 7% higher.

The iMiner 660MX8D2 mining farm includes a Biostar TB360 motherboard-BTC D+ equipped with a dual-core Intel Celeron G4900 processor with a frequency of 3,1 GHz and 8 GB DDR4-2666 RAM and a 120 GB SSD. It also mentions that the system is equipped with a Realtek RTL8111H gigabit network controller.

The entire system is powered by a pre-installed 2000W power supply, but the consumption of eight Radeon RX 6600s is no higher than 1056W even without optimizations. So the food is here with a margin.

The farm can run under Windows 10, HiveOS or Linux operating systems. The company has not announced the price and availability of the iMiner 660MX8D2.
