American cryptocurrency mining giant Genesis Digital Assets (GDA) has launched three advanced Bitcoin mining centers in the east end of South Carolina. The information was brought by The Block portal. This company focuses on the use of green energy from renewable sources for the operation of these centers.
One of the centers is equipped with new-generation dry-core distribution transformers and has a total capacity of 18 MW. While another center will get its energy directly from the hydroelectric plant. These steps are in line with the company's vision to strengthen its position in the American market.
According to the official statement of the GDA company, it has a total of 20 mining sites in operation located in North America, Europe and Central Asia with an aggregate output exceeding 400 MW.
It is worth noting that the recent agreement to increase the US national debt ceiling included a measure that eliminates the 30% tax on mining operations. In March, the CEA released a report criticizing cryptocurrencies for failing to live up to their original promise. The report also highlights the potential threats that digital currencies pose to the investment world and the global economic balance.
