Kingdom Hearts III is a third-person action RPG. Developed by Square Enix Osaka Team Division 3 and published by Square Enix Headquarters. The game was released in 2019 on the console and did not reach the Windows platform until March 30, 2021.

Universe

The wonderful world of all Disney cartoons is intertwined in Kingdom Hearts III. The third part already has a solid layer of history, which was said in the previous two parts. So that you don't have to buy and go through old toys, there are memory journals in the third section. These are short videos that completely tell you all the events from the previous parts.

All the acting characters are constantly saying things important to the plot and so that you don't forget everything, you will always have a specially trained cricketer who will write down or memorize all the important moments of the dialogues.

The main character is Sora, in the company of other characters we already know, he will try to save the world from the evil plans of Master Zianort and the "13" organization. To do this, Sora will have to find the seven guardians of light with Donald Duck and Goofy. Riku and Mickey will search for the previous owner of the Blade Keys.

As you can see, the story is not the strongest point of the game. Kingdom Hearts III is reflected in the side quests and Disney warm lamp atmosphere. You will meet almost all your favorite characters from popular cartoons in different worlds.

Gameplay

Most of the time you will have to either run or fight. The fights here take place in the best slasher traditions. The Seven Swords are seven different unique weapon types, each with their own attack animation, super strikes, collective strikes, abilities. You can switch between them directly in battle. Not all sword fighting abilities are so brutal and aggressive. Some look like Disneyland rides, and group strikes are accompanied by fireworks and firecrackers.

You don't need to twist your fingers into a monogram to use all these abilities, the strokes are combined automatically. Simply clicking on an enemy on the screen often looks like a professional fight between two world champions in Mortal Kombat, only without the cruelty and colorful cartoon effects.

You can pump swords for tycoon quests that are scattered throughout the levels. Some of them are hidden high enough that you pretty much have to wall jump to get to them. In addition, the tasks are very diverse.

There is also the opportunity to take a selfie, there is a lot of content associated with this, even the screens for loading places or saving are styled like Instagram. The characters will behave differently under the camera's watch, some are shy, others start grinning, and Donald generally jumps and poses like a real artist.

All the selfies you take with the gammyphone are a full-featured smartphone. If you are bored of constant action, you can distract yourself with mini-games on your phone, which are stylized like old cartoons. The game itself is constantly trying to entertain you, during the passage you will encounter minigames of various formats.

Graphics and engine

This game is created on Unreal Engine 4 and is not a particularly demanding project. To open it in 4K resolution, you will need a powerful enough graphics card, as the game is not optimized for high resolution. However, issuing such a permit is a rather controversial idea. FPS will obviously drop and you won't see the difference in the image as there is no support for high resolution textures.

Another nuance when it comes to choosing graphic settings - it practically does not change the image. This is a property of the engine and a small processing adaptation for PC. Everything looks the same on consoles and there are no graphics settings, and the developer didn't want to create multiple texture packs and simplified animations for PC. As a result, we got a fairly easy game, but if your computer can't handle it, then it will hardly be possible to make it less challenging.

System requirements

Collecting requirements for Kingdom Hearts III is quite easy, that is, there is a scheme that has long been known to all players. The game was developed for consoles, and now such a set of hardware is required for 4 out of 5 games that are aimed at eighth-generation consoles, namely PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
