A router with a better mining hashrate than the new RTX 4090 was recorded on the network

However, this company and facility could be fraudulent in nature.

Portal Tom's Hardware revealed that a company called TP-Link ASIC sells the so-called NX31 Mining Router at a very low price, around 1 euros. However, this company seems to have no connection with the official TP-Link brand. When contacted by reporters, a representative of the network equipment manufacturer replied that the company ASIC, which is considered a subsidiary due to the name similarity, sells an unverified TP-Link product and an image used for TP-Link ASIC The NX31 closely resembles the real Archer BE900.

According to TP-Link specifications ASIC the NX31 router can connect devices to the latest Wi-Fi 7 standard and mine cryptocurrencies with a hashrate of 31,2 TH/s, which is significantly more than, for example, the GeForce RTX 4090. However, Tom's Hardware reports that the company is deliberately comparing two completely different products to emphasize NX31 benefits. It is also noted that the router actually uses the much more convenient Kadena algorithm for cryptocurrency mining. In addition, it requires a power of 1200W, which is not stated anywhere.

Tom's Hardware is not the first to request confirmation from TP-Link, suggesting that this is not an official product, but a cheap copy. TP-Link is already looking into the situation and intends to block sites with these products.
