Description

Weight: 0.5 kg

NerdQaxe++ is an open-source home Bitcoin miner from the same family as the Bitaxe and NerdOctaxe. The board carries 4 BM1370 chips (the chip generation from the Antminer S21 Pro); the current Rev7 revision delivers 6 TH/s at a power draw of around 100 W, i.e. approx. 16.7 J/TH. It runs quietly (around 40 dB) and fits on a desk.

What it is good for

  • Solo mining (“lottery”): the miner connects to a solo pool and tries to find an entire block. At 6 TH/s the chance is small – treat it as a game, not as income.
  • Pool: in a regular pool it mines only small amounts.
  • Learning and tuning: open AxeOS firmware, web interface, display showing hashrate and temperature, frequency and voltage tuning.

Specifications

  • Algorithm: SHA-256 (Bitcoin; also Bitcoin Cash, Bitcoin SV, eCash)
  • Hashrate: 6 TH/s
  • Power draw: approx. 100 W
  • Chips: 4× BM1370
  • Power supply: 12 V DC adapter for a standard socket
  • Cooling: air
  • Noise level: approx. 40 dB
  • Connectivity: Wi-Fi 2.4 GHz

Setup guide

We will set it up for you free of charge. Send us your wallet address and the miner will mine for you alone. If you do not have a wallet yet, we will help you create one.

How to set up an ASIC miner
  1. Connect the network first, then the power. Connect the miner to your router with a network cable, on the same network as your computer. Only then switch it on.
  2. Find the IP address. You can find it in your router’s list of devices or with the manufacturer’s tool.
  3. Log in. Enter the IP address in your browser. The default username and password are in the manufacturer’s manual – we will gladly send it to you.
  4. Set up the pool. Enter the pool address in the form stratum+tcp://…; as the Worker, enter your pool account name or wallet address, a full stop and the machine name, and x as the password. Save.
  5. Check that it is mining. After a few minutes the miner will start mining. You can check the hashrate on the pool’s website.
