The hashing board (hashboard) is the part of a miner that actually does the mining. When a single chip or power circuit on it fails, the performance of the whole machine drops – and so does the yield. We repair Antminer hashboards in our own service centre in Prague 10 and locate the fault on a test fixture, not by guesswork.
How to recognise a faulty hashboard
| What you see | What it usually means |
|---|---|
| The miner reports 0 chips on one board, the log shows “Chain 0 … find 0 asic” | The board isn't communicating: a broken chip chain, a faulty first chip, domain power or the connecting cable. |
| The hashboard is missing from the miner overview altogether (hashboard not found) | The board isn't getting power, or the EEPROM or connector is faulty. Rule out the data cable and power supply first. |
| The board finds only some of the chips, the overview shows crosses next to chips | A faulty chip or domain in the middle of the chain. The chips after it no longer hash. |
| Low hashrate, lots of errors (HW errors), the miner restarts | A weak or overheating chip, a problem with domain voltage, the LDO or the boost circuit. |
| Temperature errors, the sensor shows nonsense or 0 °C, the miner shuts down | A faulty temperature sensor or its surroundings, or genuine overheating due to dust or dried-out paste. |
| EEPROM read error, the board won't pair with the miner | A damaged or empty EEPROM holding the board data. Fixed by re-flashing. |
How to check it yourself
- Start the miner and connect the boards one at a time.
- In the miner interface (miner status) you'll see the working boards. A faulty board won't appear or will show crosses next to its chips.
- Before sending the board for repair, swap the data cable to another port. If the fault “moves” with the cable, the cable or the control board is faulty, not the hashboard.
If you don't have the equipment and experience, don't repair the hashboard yourself. It's an expensive part, and amateur work on chips or power circuits usually turns one fault into several.
How we repair hashboards
- Intake and inspection. We check the board under a magnifier: burn marks, corrosion, broken-off components, traces of moisture or coolant leaks.
- Diagnostics on a test fixture. We run the board outside the miner on a special tester. It shows at which chip the chain breaks and which domain lacks the correct voltage.
- Power repair. We repair the power domains, LDO regulators, the boost circuit and other components that power the chips.
- Chip replacement. We replace faulty chips with new ones. We use reballing so that the new chip sits correctly on the board.
- EEPROM re-flash. If the board data is corrupted, we write it again so the board works properly with the miner.
- Load test. We test the repaired board in a miner under full load. Only then do we return it.
Before every repair we tell you what's faulty and how much the repair will cost. We don't replace anything without your consent.

We repair new models as soon as they hit the market. If you don't see your model in the table, get in touch – we'll repair it too. We also repair Whatsminer, Avalon, IceRiver and other brands' hashboards. You'll find an overview of all ASIC services on the ASIC miner service page.
How much the repair costs
The price is per hashboard. The base price includes replacing up to 5 chips; each additional chip is charged according to the chip type. You'll find indicative prices in the price list on this page; we'll give you the exact price after diagnostics.
Diagnostics are free if we carry out the repair. They're also free if the repair would cost more than a new part. You only pay for them if the repair is worthwhile and you decide to have it done elsewhere.
When a repair isn't worth it
- Older models. For machines such as the S9, S17 or T17, a used replacement hashboard is often cheaper than a repair. If we have a suitable used board in stock, we'll offer it to you.
- A miner that isn't mining at a profit. Before you invest in a repair, check the current ASIC miner profitability at your electricity price. Sometimes it makes more sense to move the miner to our hosting with cheaper electricity or to replace it with a newer one.
- Extensive damage. A board after a fire, heavy corrosion or with several burnt domains. In that case we'll recommend a new board from the manufacturer or another solution, and you won't pay anything for diagnostics.
You'll find newer machines in the ASIC miners collection, and used ones with warranty in our used section.
How to get your hashboard to us
- In person at our shop Rostovská 260/2b, Praha 10 – Vršovice, Mon–Fri 9:00–17:00.
- Courier pick-up within the Czech Republic. A courier (usually UPS) collects the parcel from your home or business.
- By parcel from Slovakia and abroad. Write to us or call, and we'll arrange the most suitable transport and price.
We accept individual hashboards – you don't have to send the whole miner. When you collect the repaired board, you sign a short declaration that you operate the miner correctly – with a stable power supply, sufficient cooling, no dust and suitable firmware. A board that passes our test can fail again in unsuitable conditions, and if something still goes wrong, we'll always find a solution. Within the Czech Republic we usually ship heavy miners via UPS, and transport generally costs up to 300 CZK.
Pack the hashboard in an antistatic bag and a sturdy box with padding; a whole miner ideally in its original box. Include a description of the fault (what the miner reports, when the problem started), your contact details and a return address. This speeds up diagnostics and repair.
Warranty and repair time
We give a 24-month warranty on every part we replace during a repair. We usually aim to complete the repair within 3–5 working days of receiving the board. If we need to order chips that aren't in stock, we'll tell you the repair time in advance.
