HDMI port: the most common repair
The HDMI port most often breaks off or bends when the console falls with the cable plugged in or someone pulls on the cable. If the console runs (the light is on, the fan spins) but the TV has no picture, it is almost certainly the HDMI port. We replace the port and also check the circuit behind it on the board.
Prevention: cleaning and overheating
Consoles in a closed TV cabinet or against a wall quickly collect dust. Noise, hot air and shutting down while gaming are the first warning signs. A console that is cleaned from time to time runs more quietly and lasts longer – and you avoid a more expensive board repair.
Controllers
Drifting sticks, broken buttons or charging problems on DualSense, DualShock or Xbox controllers can usually be fixed by replacing a part. Send us the controller model and what isn't working.
