In 2024, 95 % of Finland’s electricity came from emission-free sources. Nuclear power plants, including the new Olkiluoto 3 unit, supply the largest share, wind roughly a quarter, and the rest comes mainly from hydro and biomass. Wind farms are growing fast, and in windy periods there is so much electricity that the exchange price falls towards zero.

You pay for the electricity the miner uses. The price per kWh already includes management of the machine, excludes VAT and is the same for companies and private customers. One-off costs are installation – a one-time installation fee depending on the machine type – and shipping to the data centre. Customs and fees vary by location; you will see the exact amount in the hosting order before you pay.

You can buy a miner straight onto hosting: on any ASIC miner in our shop, choose On our hosting under “Where the miner will run”. The price is excluding VAT and the machine is shipped insured directly to the data centre – it is not delivered to your home.
