Refund policy

Effective from 19 October 2026. Kentino s.r.o., Company ID (IČO) 05066743 (PC Praha, pcpraha.cz). The full wording can be found in our terms and conditions.

Withdrawal from the contract (returning goods within 14 days)

Who can withdraw

If you are a consumer and bought goods through our online shop (or otherwise at a distance, e.g. by e-mail or phone), you can withdraw from the contract without giving a reason within 14 days of receiving the goods. If you ordered several items delivered separately, the period runs from receipt of the last delivery. You can also withdraw before receiving the goods.

An order placed through the online shop that you then collect in person at our shop is also a distance contract. In that case you keep the right to withdraw within 14 days.

When you do not have the right to withdraw within 14 days

Business purchases. If you buy as a business – as part of your business activity, typically with a company ID stated in the order – you are not a consumer and you do not have the right to withdraw from the contract within 14 days. Your rights are governed by Article 11 of the terms and conditions.

Purchases made directly in our shop. If you conclude the contract in person at our shop (you choose and buy the goods directly from us, not through the online shop), it is not a distance contract and no statutory right to withdraw within 14 days arises. If we nevertheless allow you to return goods at the shop, this is a voluntary goodwill gesture on our part.

Under the law (Section 1837 of the Civil Code), you also cannot withdraw from the contract for:

  • goods made to your specifications or adapted to your personal needs (e.g. assembly, modification or conversion of a miner to order, a custom-made box or container),
  • goods or services whose price depends on fluctuations in the financial market beyond our control (e.g. purchases of cryptocurrencies),
  • sealed goods that cannot be returned for hygiene reasons once you have removed them from their packaging,
  • audio or video recordings or computer software if you have broken their original seal,
  • digital content not supplied on a tangible medium, if its supply began with your express prior consent and after you were informed that you thereby lose the right to withdraw,
  • services that we have fully provided with your express consent before the end of the withdrawal period.

How to withdraw and return goods

All you need to do is send us your withdrawal before the period expires – by e-mail to reklamace@pcpraha.cz, by post to the address of our shop or registered office, or in person at the shop. You can use the model form below, but you do not have to. We will confirm receipt of your withdrawal by e-mail.

Return the goods to us no later than 14 days after withdrawing – send them to our shop at Rostovská 260/2b, 101 00 Praha 10, or bring them in person. You bear the cost of returning the goods. For goods that cannot be returned by normal post because of their size or weight (e.g. containers, large water-cooling circuits), we will give you an estimate of the return costs on request before you place your order.

We will refund you within 14 days of receiving your withdrawal, including delivery costs up to the amount of the cheapest shipping method we offer. We refund using the same payment method you used, unless we agree otherwise and this causes you no additional costs. We are not obliged to refund you before you return the goods to us or prove that you have sent them.

Trying out goods and reduction in their value

You are only liable for any reduction in the value of the goods resulting from handling them in a way other than what is necessary to establish the nature, characteristics and functioning of the goods (Section 1833 of the Civil Code). In other words, you may handle the goods as you could in a bricks-and-mortar shop – unpack them, plug them in and try them out.

What this means for ASIC miners:

  • It is fine to plug the miner in, check that it starts and verify the hashrate, temperatures and noise level – as a guide, within 24 hours of operation.
  • Long-term mining (running on a pool for several days) is normal use, not trying out. If you return such a miner, you are returning used goods and we are entitled to compensation for the reduction in its value. By reduction in value we mean the difference between the price of a new miner and the price at which it can be sold as used with a warranty.
  • Modifying the firmware or any other intervention in the device likewise reduces the value of the goods.

We may set compensation for the reduction in value off against the purchase price we refund to you. We will always document the condition of returned goods – with a test report after return, data from the firmware or pool (e.g. operating time) and photos. If you disagree with our assessment, get in touch and we will find a solution.

A miner bought directly for our hosting. If you buy a miner to be placed in our hosting and ask us to start mining as soon as it is connected, the miner is used beyond trying out (see above). Hosting is a service: if you asked us to start providing it during the withdrawal period and then withdraw from the contract, you will pay a proportionate part of the hosting price for the service provided up to the moment of withdrawal (Section 1834 of the Civil Code). We will agree individually with you on how to return a miner located in the data centre.

If we gave you a gift with the goods, the gift agreement terminates when you withdraw from the purchase contract, and you should return the gift together with the goods.

Warranty claims (rights arising from defective performance)

We are responsible for ensuring that the goods have no defects when you receive them – in particular that they match their description, have the agreed and usual characteristics, are fit for the purpose for which they are normally used, are supplied with accessories and instructions, and comply with legal regulations (Section 2161 of the Civil Code).

A consumer can claim a defect if it appears within 24 months of receipt. If a defect appears during the first year, the goods are presumed to have been defective at the time of receipt. For used goods (e.g. from our used section) this period is reduced to 12 months. For new ASIC miners bought from us and placed in our hosting, we provide a 7-year commercial warranty.

If the goods are defective, you can request repair or delivery of new goods, unless this is impossible or disproportionately costly. If we do not remedy the defect, refuse to remedy it, the defect recurs or is material, you can request a reasonable discount or withdraw from the contract (Sections 2169–2171 of the Civil Code). We will settle your claim within 30 days at the latest.

How and where to make a claim is described in our Complaints procedure and on the Warranty and claims page.
