Zcash miners (Equihash)

ASIC miners for the Equihash algorithm for mining Zcash (ZEC) – Antminer Z15 Pro and Z15K. For every machine you can see the hashrate in kSol/s, power draw, efficiency and earnings in CZK recalculated for today's network difficulty and exchange rate.

Zcash is a cryptocurrency with private (shielded) transactions and one of the few larger coins on Equihash. We sell miners with an invoice and warranty, service them in Prague 10, and you can place them in our hosting.

How to choose a Zcash miner

First decide where the machine will run – that determines the cooling. For each type we show the machines from this collection that earn the most today from 1 kWh of electricity.

  • hosting, workshop

    Air-cooled

The most common and cheapest option: fans cool the machine, so it only needs a supply of cool air and a way to remove the heat. It is loud, though (usually 70–80 dB), so it does not belong in a flat – it suits our hosting, a workshop or a plant room, and at home only with a soundproof box.

3 models in this collection, most profitable per 1 kWh:

    How hosting works
  • quieter, heat for heating

    Hydro (water cooling)

A liquid in a closed loop cools the chips and a dry cooler or heat exchanger removes the heat. Hydro machines are quieter and more powerful, but they need a water loop and usually a three-phase supply. You can use the heat to warm water or for heating.

    Water loops for Hydro
  • farms, almost silent

    Immersion cooling

The machine is submerged in dielectric fluid in an immersion tank – it is almost silent and the chips stay at an even temperature. It needs a tank, a pump and a cooler, so it is best suited to farms and hosting.

Zcash miner comparison

Sorted from the most efficient – fewest joules per unit of hashrate. We recalculate revenue every hour, and profit using the electricity price selected above the miners: on hosting at 1.14 Kč/kWh.

Model Hashrate Power Efficiency Cooling Noise Price from Revenue / day Profit / day
Antminer Z15 Pro 860 Ksol/s 2,847 W 3.31 J/Ksol Air 75 dB from 161 855 Kč 991 Kč913 Kč
Antminer Z15 420 Ksol/s 1,510 W 3.6 J/Ksol Air 72 dB from 189 431 Kč 484 Kč443 Kč
Antminer Z15K 565 Ksol/s 2,672 W 4.73 J/Ksol Air 72 dB from 94 750 Kč 651 Kč578 Kč

Hashrate, power draw and noise are stated by the manufacturers. Efficiency = power draw ÷ hashrate. Revenue = hashrate × today’s revenue of the algorithm’s most profitable coin (before electricity and pool fees); profit = revenue − electricity at the selected price. For machines with several hashrate options we use the base hashrate from the product card.

At home or on our hosting?

The result of mining depends mainly on the electricity price. Comparison for the machine in this collection that earns the most per 1 kWh – Antminer Z15 Pro.

At home or at your business

  • Grid electricity costs a Czech household roughly 4.5–6.5 Kč/kWh (2026); it is cheaper from your own solar panels or on a business tariff.
  • A powerful ASIC needs its own circuit and ventilation, and you have to expect noise – air-cooled machines are usually 70–80 dB.
  • You can use the miner’s heat for heating, but in summer you have to get rid of it.

Profit at 4.5 Kč/kWh: 683 Kč / day

On our hosting

  • Electricity from 1.14 Kč/kWh including management (Nigeria #2), 7 locations with free capacity.
  • With prepaid electricity, up to 30% cheaper.
  • New miners bought from us that run on our hosting come with a 7-year warranty. We take care of noise, cooling and repairs.

Profit at 1.14 Kč/kWh: 913 Kč / day

Profit = today’s revenue − electricity for 24 hours, before pool fees. Network difficulty and the exchange rate change; this is neither a forecast nor a promise of revenue.

FAQ about Zcash miners

How much does a Zcash miner earn per day?

Revenue depends on the machine's hashrate in kSol/s, network difficulty and the ZEC price. We show the current value for each model on its card and in the table; the switch above the listings shows the profit after electricity.

What is the difference between the Antminer Z15 Pro and Z15K?

Both machines mine Equihash and differ in hashrate, power draw and price. What matters is efficiency – how many joules they use per unit of hashrate. You will find the figures for both models side by side in the comparison table above.

How much of the block reward does the miner receive?

Under the network's rules, part of the block reward goes to development funds and miners receive the rest. We explain how the reward is split and when the next halving will be in the article Zcash (ZEC); the revenue in the table includes only the miner's share.

Can an Equihash miner mine other coins too?

Antminer Z15 machines mine Equihash (200,9). Other coins such as Komodo use it too, but Zcash is by far the most liquid – which is why we calculate revenue from ZEC.

Is Zcash similar to Monero?

Both coins address payment privacy, but differently: Zcash offers optional shielded transactions and is mined on ASIC miners, while Monero has mandatory privacy and is mined on CPUs. You will find a comparison in the article Zcash, Monero and bitcoin.

Zcash mining with ASIC miners

Zcash (ZEC) was launched in 2016 and was one of the first cryptocurrencies to offer private transactions based on zero-knowledge proofs. A block is found roughly every 75 seconds and it is mined with the Equihash algorithm, for which machines today are made mainly by Bitmain – the Antminer Z15 series.

The hashrate of Equihash miners is given in kSol/s (thousands of solutions per second). When comparing, look at efficiency: a machine that uses less energy per unit of hashrate mines more ZEC from every kWh. We recalculate the earnings in the table every hour based on difficulty and the exchange rate, counting only the share of the reward that goes to miners. Z15 machines are air-cooled and loud, so they are best suited to hosting or a plant room; in our hosting we take care of cooling and operation for you.

We cover the coin, the reward split and the halving in the article Zcash (ZEC). How Zcash compares with Monero and Bitcoin is discussed in the article Zcash, Monero and Bitcoin.
