ASIC miner hosting in Norway
Bitcoin mining in Norway runs on cheap hydroelectric power and cold air that cools a miner almost for free. Our hosting has two locations above the Arctic Circle: Arctic and Alta. Electricity starts today at 1.39 Kč/kWh, with prepayment from 0.97 Kč/kWh.
Why electricity is cheap in Norway
Roughly nine tenths of Norway’s electricity comes from hydropower. Mountains, fjords and heavy rainfall give the country so much water that generation in the north has long exceeded demand. Power from the north also cannot easily be moved south or abroad, which is why the price per kWh here tends to be among the lowest in Europe.
Hydropower is stable: reservoirs work like giant batteries and the plants keep running in winter, when wind and sun weaken across Europe. For a miner this means a steady supply without fluctuations and a low carbon footprint.
Climate and cooling above the Arctic Circle
The Arctic climate is ideal for ASIC miners. Outside air is cold for most of the year, so the data centre cools mainly by drawing in ambient air and needs no energy-hungry air conditioning. Chips run cooler, fans work less and the machine lasts longer.
Standard air-cooled miners therefore run here without compromise. Water (Hydro) cooling makes sense mainly for the most powerful machines, not because of the weather.
Which miners we recommend for Norway
Electricity in Norway is not the cheapest in our range, but the cold environment and high uptime make it a safe choice for many years. Efficient machines with low consumption per terahash are the way to go: the less energy a miner uses, the more of the yield you keep. Below are the four miners that pay back fastest at today’s electricity price in Norway.

All ASIC miners →Price, operation and services
You pay for the electricity the miner uses. The price per kWh already includes management of the machine, excludes VAT and is the same for companies and private customers. If you prepay electricity several years ahead, you save up to 30 % and the entire mined yield stays with you. See Prepaid electricity for details.
Arctic and Alta are among our most reliable locations – uptime reaches up to 99.85 %. Free capacity and current prices are shown in the table above.
New miners bought from us carry a 7-year warranty for as long as they run on our hosting. The miner mines on our pool and you send payouts to your own wallet.
One-off costs are installation – a one-time installation fee depending on the machine type – and shipping to the data centre. Customs and fees vary by location; you will see the exact amount in the hosting order before you pay.
How to order hosting in Norway
You can buy a miner straight onto hosting: on any ASIC miner in our shop, choose On our hosting under “Where the miner will run”. The price is excluding VAT and the machine is shipped insured directly to the data centre – it is not delivered to your home. With the Order on hosting button you then pick the location, register and pay in crypto, by bank transfer or in instalments. Need an invoice in CZK for your company? Write to us and we will prepare the order for you.
Not sure about the model or location? Send us an enquiry. We will check for free capacity and recommend the machine that pays off best at the local electricity price.
FAQ: hosting in Norway
How much does ASIC miner hosting in Norway cost?
You pay for electricity according to the machine’s consumption, today from 1.39 Kč/kWh excluding VAT, management included. Prepaying electricity for several years gives you a discount of up to 30 %. On top of that come a one-off installation fee depending on the machine type and shipping to the data centre.
What is the difference between the Arctic and Alta locations?
Both are in northern Norway and both are cooled by Arctic air. They differ in price per kWh and free capacity – see the table above for the current status. If one location is full, we will offer you the other or put you on the list for the next free slot.
Why is bitcoin mining in Norway a good deal?
It combines cheap hydroelectric power, natural cooling by cold air and a stable grid. The miner runs cooler and longer without outages.
How do I access my miner and monitor it?
Through your client account at hosting.pcpraha.cz. It shows the performance of your machines, the coins mined and your payout history, and you send withdrawals to your own wallet from there – manually or automatically once a threshold is reached. On site, technicians look after the miner and repair any fault right in the data centre.
Can I bring my own miner?
Yes. We accept machines bought elsewhere from 25 units. First you send them to Prague, where we check their condition, and then they travel to the data centre in one batch. Hosting for these machines costs more – we will tell you the exact rate on request. The 7-year warranty applies only to new miners bought from us.
