Why the buy-back price differs from the Marketplace price

We have to clean a bought-back machine, test it, replace worn parts, give it a 12-month warranty and find it a new owner. Meanwhile, miner prices keep falling as network difficulty rises.

Which miners we buy

Working ASIC miners for all common algorithms. Tell us the exact model – we'll assess it.

  • SHA-256 (Bitcoin) Antminer S19 and S21, Whatsminer, Avalon and other bitcoin miners.
  • Scrypt (Litecoin, Dogecoin) Antminer L7 and L9, ElphaPex DG1 and other LTC and DOGE miners.
  • kHeavyHash (Kaspa) IceRiver KS, Antminer KS and other Kaspa miners.
  • Other algorithms Equihash (Zcash), X11 (Dash), Blake2b-Sia, Blake3 (Alephium), zkSNARK (Aleo) and more – tell us the model.

Miner not working? Tell us what's happening with the machine – we can repair it first in our ASIC miner service centre. After inspection, machines we buy back are offered in our Marketplace – used miners with a warranty.

What affects the buy-back price

The calculator above shows an indicative maximum – the final price is worked out for each machine separately.

  • Machine condition Fan wear, corrosion, signs of moisture or liquid. It helps if it ran in a clean, dry environment.
  • Performance and hashrate Whether all hashboards run with the full number of chips and the hashrate matches the manufacturer's figure.
  • Warranty and documents Remaining manufacturer's warranty, invoice, original power supply and accessories.
  • Demand for the model Interest in the specific model – it changes with new machine generations, the coin's price and network difficulty.

We'll confirm the exact amount after testing in our service centre. Send an enquiry and you'll receive an offer within 1–2 working days.

Buy-back or trade-in?

Buy-back means we buy the machine from you and pay you the amount. Trade-in means we deduct the price of your old machine from the price of a new miner you order from us – for example from a more efficient generation that earns more on the same electricity.

For an older machine, what matters is its efficiency in J/TH and the price of electricity. We show how to work it out in the article New or used ASIC miner? You can see how much new models earn today in our miner profitability overview.

What to have ready

  • the exact model and hashrate (e.g. Antminer S19k Pro 120 TH/s),
  • the number of units,
  • condition: whether it runs, how many hashboards work, how long and where the machine has been running,
  • photos of the label with the serial number, the whole machine and the hashboards (a link is enough),
  • the invoice and information on the remaining warranty, if you have them.

Frequently asked questions

How much will I get for my miner?

The buy-back price calculator on this page shows you an indicative maximum straight away – based on the model, hashrate and condition of the machine. We confirm the final price after testing in our service centre and send a preliminary offer within 1–2 working days.

What's the difference between buy-back and trade-in?

With a buy-back we pay you the amount for the machine. With a trade-in we deduct it from the price of a new miner you order from us – and add a bonus on top of the buy-back price.

Why is the final price only confirmed after testing?

Photos can't show the condition of the hashboards, chips or power supply. That's why we test the machine in our service centre first and only then confirm the price.

Do I have to bring the miner in person?

No. You can bring it to our shop at Rostovská 260/2b in Prague 10 (Mon–Fri 9–17) or send it to us. We'll arrange shipping after the preliminary offer.

What if the miner doesn't work?

We buy non-working machines too – at parts value, or we repair them first in our ASIC miner service centre. Tell us what's happening with the machine.

Why is the buy-back price lower than the Marketplace price?

We have to clean a bought-back machine, test it, replace worn parts and give it a 12-month warranty. Only then do we offer it in our Marketplace – used miners with a warranty. On top of that, miner prices keep falling as network difficulty rises.
