PC Praha Guides
About the editorial team
We write the PC Praha Guides for people who mine, want to get started, or simply want to understand cryptocurrencies. Here you'll find out who writes the articles, where we get our figures, how we check facts and how we correct mistakes.
How we write
- Who writes Our articles are written by Yegor, the cryptocurrency mining specialist at PC Praha. He draws on what we deal with in the shop, the service centre and hosting.About the author →
- Live data instead of estimates The website recalculates miner earnings, coin prices and the hosting price every hour. Figures that change are otherwise given with a date.
- Verified sources We verify facts beyond our own experience with primary sources – manufacturers, documentation and the coin's network – and link to them below the article.
- Open about AI When AI helps prepare a text, we say so below the article: "Text prepared with the help of AI; facts and procedures checked by Yegor." Every article is read by a person before publication.
- No profit promises We always give earnings as of today and at a given electricity price. We don't write about guaranteed profits, and we warn about risks and scams.
- Shop and content We're a shop, so our articles also link to our own miners and services – openly, not as hidden advertising. We write news neutrally.
How an article is made
- We choose topics based on customer questions and what is happening in the market.
- We check that we don't already have an article on the topic – we would rather update an existing one than write a second.
- We verify facts in primary sources; we take numbers from live data or state them with a date.
- Yegor reads and approves the text before publication.
- When something important changes (new models, numbers, sections), we update the article and mark the date as “Updated”.
Live numbers in articles
Coin earnings, coin prices and the lowest electricity price in our hosting are recalculated by the website every hour from the same data as miner profitability. Earnings are always an estimate for the given day – they change with the exchange rate and network difficulty, so we never present them as a promise.
