Immersion cooling

With immersion cooling, the whole miner is submerged in a non-conductive dielectric fluid that draws the heat away. The machine runs without fans, so there is no fan noise or dust, and the chips work at a stable temperature.

We supply immersion tanks and dielectric coolant, and a cooling loop on request – just ask and we will design the setup around the number and model of your miners. For larger operations we offer immersion containers and miners built specifically for immersion, such as the Antminer S21 Imm or Whatsminer M66 Imm.

Immersion tanks and coolant – on request

We supply immersion tanks and dielectric coolant, or complete custom setups. Write to us how many miners you want to cool, which ones and where they will stand – we will design the setup and send you a quote.

How to plan immersion cooling

An immersion setup has four parts: a tank with fluid, the miners, a heat exchanger with pump and a cooler. We supply both the tank and the coolant – we prepare a quote based on how many machines you want to cool.

  1. Number of machines and power draw

These determine the tank size, the amount of fluid and the cooler capacity. According to the manufacturers, Imm machines draw roughly 3.8–5.4 kW.

  2. Imm miners or modified ones

Imm machines are designed to go straight into the fluid. We will discuss modifying a standard miner with you depending on the model.

  3. Tank or container

A standalone tank with fluid is enough for a few machines; for a farm an immersion container with piping and cooling pays off.

  4. Power and space

Imm machines need three-phase 380–415 V. A tank full of fluid is heavy – take the floor's load capacity into account, as well as getting the heat out.

Miners for immersion

Machines built specifically to be submerged in fluid. Power draw and voltage are as stated by the manufacturers.

Frequently asked questions

What is immersion cooling?

The miner is fully submerged in a non-conductive (dielectric) fluid, which carries heat away from the chips to a heat exchanger and cooler. The machine runs without fans, so there is no fan noise and no dust gets onto the hashboards.

Which miners are suitable for immersion?

The simplest option is machines built specifically for immersion, for example the Antminer S21 Imm, Antminer S21 XP Imm, Whatsminer M66 Imm or M66S+ Imm. According to the manufacturers they draw roughly 3.8–5.4 kW and need a three-phase 380–415 V supply.

Can a standard air-cooled miner be used for immersion?

Some air-cooled machines are modified for immersion, but it does not make sense for every model. Write to us with the model and we will advise whether the modification pays off or whether an Imm machine is the better choice.

Do you supply immersion tanks and coolant?

Yes, we supply both – immersion tanks and dielectric coolant. We size the tank and the amount of fluid according to the number and model of miners, so we prepare them on request. We can also add a cooling loop if you wish. For larger operations we offer 20 ft and 40 ft immersion containers for 80 to 384 machines.

Who is immersion suitable for?

Mainly for larger operations and farms, where the investment in a tank, fluid and cooler pays off, and wherever noise and dust are a problem. For a single machine at home, a hydro miner with a water loop or a soundproof box is usually simpler.

Immersion cooling for ASIC miners

Immersion cooling is one of the quietest ways to run powerful ASIC miners. The machines are submerged in a dielectric fluid that does not conduct electricity and draws heat away from every chip. There is no fan noise or dust, and the heat from the fluid can be reused via a heat exchanger, for example for space heating.

We supply immersion tanks and dielectric coolant and, on request, a complete cooling loop. We prepare them on request, because each setup is designed around the number of machines, their power draw and where they will stand. We will also help you plan the power supply and heat removal – according to the manufacturers, Imm machines draw roughly 3.8–5.4 kW and need 380–415 V three-phase power. For farms we offer 20 ft and 40 ft immersion containers. Miners built for immersion, such as the Antminer S21 Imm or Whatsminer M66 Imm, can be found among our Bitcoin miners.
