The display, or just the glass?
On many tablets the touch glass is a separate part. If the glass is cracked but the picture underneath is fine, only the glass needs replacing – which is cheaper than a whole display. On newer models the glass is bonded to the display and is replaced as one unit. We'll find out which applies to your tablet from the exact model.
Swollen battery: stop using the tablet
If the tablet's back has bulged or the display is lifting, the battery is swelling. Don't charge the tablet, switch it off and bring it in as soon as possible – a damaged battery can catch fire.
