When a projector needs servicing
- It won't switch on, or it switches itself off after a while.
- It is noisy and runs very hot – a clogged filter and fans.
- There are white or black dots, spots or smudges in the picture.
- Colours are off, a colour is missing or the picture is only black and white.
- The picture is dark even though the lamp is new.
- The projector doesn't respond to the signal source or some functions don't work.
- It makes unusual noises (typically the colour wheel on DLP models).
What we repair on projectors

| Cleaning of optics and LCD panels | Spots, smudges, darker picture. |
| Lens selection and fitting | Blurred or distorted picture. |
| Complete cleaning, new filters | Overheating and noise. |
| Power supply and mainboard repair | The projector won't switch on or keeps switching off. |
DLP, LCD and laser projectors
On DLP projectors the most common faults are a defective DMD chip and the colour wheel; on LCD projectors, clogged or burnt-out panels and polarising filters. Laser and LED projectors have no conventional lamp, but they need clean cooling – overheating shortens the life of the light source.
We also repair modern projectors
- 4K and laser projectors for home cinema.
- Ultra-short-throw projectors (UST) that sit right next to the wall.
- Portable LED projectors – for example Samsung Freestyle, XGIMI or Dangbei.
- Office and school projectors, including interactive ones.
