Archived model. The Whatsminer M30S is an ASIC miner by MicroBT, launched in 2020 (the M30S++ in October 2020). It mines bitcoin (BTC) and other coins on the SHA-256 algorithm. We no longer offer this model. We keep the specifications here for those who own one or are comparing newer machines with it.

MicroBT's Whatsminer M30S series (M30S, M30S+, M30S++) was the main competitor to the Antminer S19. The miners have a sturdy aluminium chassis with two fans and an integrated power supply. The specifications below correspond to the most powerful version, the M30S++ 112 TH/s. We have also merged the older M30, M31S+ and M32 into this page.

What to replace it with today

If you are looking for a machine on the same algorithm, take a look at the Whatsminer M60, the Antminer S21 or all bitcoin ASIC miners. How much each machine earns today is shown in our ASIC miner profitability overview.

Do you own this miner and need a repair or setup? We will take care of it at our ASIC miner service. We also offer miner hosting.

Setup guide

We will set it up for you free of charge. Send us your wallet address and the miner will mine for you alone. If you do not have a wallet yet, we will help you create one.

How to set up an ASIC miner
  1. Connect the network first, then the power. Connect the miner to your router with a network cable, on the same network as your computer. Only then switch it on.
  2. Find the IP address. You can find it in your router’s list of devices or with the manufacturer’s tool.
  3. Log in. Enter the IP address in your browser. The default username and password are in the manufacturer’s manual – we will gladly send it to you.
  4. Set up the pool. Enter the pool address in the form stratum+tcp://…; as the Worker, enter your pool account name or wallet address, a full stop and the machine name, and x as the password. Save.
  5. Check that it is mining. After a few minutes the miner will start mining. You can check the hashrate on the pool’s website.
