The most profitable ASIC miners today: a comparison across coins

Today the highest earners are ASIC miners for Zcash (Equihash) and water-cooled Bitcoin machines. At today's difficulty and exchange rate, the Antminer Z15 Pro 860 kSol/s mines roughly 800 Kč a day while drawing 2.8 kW, and the Antminer S23 Hyd 563 TH/s around 470 Kč at 5.3 kW. BTCB2 miners show even higher figures, but their rewards are currently frozen and the coin has negligible liquidity.
Summary
- We calculate revenue simply: machine hashrate × today's revenue per unit of hashrate. The per-unit values are recalculated every hour.
- After deducting electricity at 1.13 Kč/kWh (the cheapest location in our hosting), the Z15 Pro leads with about 720 Kč a day, followed by the S21e XP Hyd 3U and the S23 Hyd.
- Efficiency (J/TH, J/kSol) is what matters, not hashrate alone. The Z15 Pro pays off up to an electricity price of around 11.7 Kč/kWh, the best Bitcoin machines up to 2.7–3.7 Kč/kWh.
- Kaspa miners currently only make money with very cheap electricity. BTCB2 is more of a bet than a calculation.
- The ranking changes over months. Before buying, always check the figures in the live ASIC miner profitability table.
What one unit of hashrate earns today on each coin
Hashrates of different algorithms cannot be compared directly. 1 TH/s on Bitcoin and 1 TH/s on Kaspa are completely different values, so a machine with a smaller number can earn more. Only revenue in crowns is comparable. We recalculate the values in the table every hour based on network difficulty and the coin's exchange rate.
| Coin | Algorithm | Unit | Revenue per day |
|---|---|---|---|
| Bitcoin (BTC) | SHA-256 | 1 TH/s | 0,84 Kč |
| Litecoin (LTC) | Scrypt | 1 GH/s | 1,86 Kč |
| Dogecoin (DOGE) | Scrypt (merged mining with LTC) | 1 GH/s | 10,60 Kč |
| Kaspa (KAS) | kHeavyHash | 1 TH/s | 3,55 Kč |
| Zcash (ZEC) | Equihash | 1 kSol/s | 0,93 Kč |
| BTCB2 | Blake2b-Sia | 1 TH/s | 130,76 Kč |
| Siacoin (SC) | Blake2b-Sia | 1 TH/s | 24,42 Kč |
Scrypt miners mine Litecoin and Dogecoin at the same time (merged mining), so both revenues add up. Today Dogecoin accounts for roughly 85% of the revenue. BTCB2 and Siacoin run on the same algorithm, but you mine either one or the other.
The most profitable ASIC miners compared today
The table lists the most powerful machines for each algorithm in our range. Gross revenue is hashrate × the value from the table above; profit is revenue minus 24 hours of electricity at 1.13 Kč/kWh. All amounts apply at today's difficulty and exchange rate, as of 18 October 2026.

| Antminer L9 | Scrypt (LTC + DOGE) | 16 GH/s | 3,360 W | 0.21 J/MH | 16 × 12.46 Kč ≈ 199 Kč | ≈ 108 Kč |
| Antminer S21 Pro+ | SHA-256 (BTC) | 245 TH/s | 3,675 W | 15 J/TH | 245 × 0.84 Kč ≈ 206 Kč | ≈ 106 Kč |
| IceRiver KS7 | kHeavyHash (KAS) | 30 TH/s | 3,500 W | 117 J/TH | 30 × 3.55 Kč ≈ 107 Kč | ≈ 12 Kč |
| iBeLink BM-S3+ | Blake2b-Sia (BTCB2) | 25 TH/s | 3,400 W | 136 J/TH | 25 × 130.76 Kč ≈ 3,269 Kč | ≈ 3,177 Kč (see risks below) |
We calculate electricity at 1,13 Kč/kWh, currently the cheapest available location of our ASIC miner hosting (Nigeria #2, 97.12% uptime). Elsewhere you will pay more, for example 0.064 USD/kWh in Norway with 99.85% uptime. Household electricity in the Czech Republic is usually several times more expensive, and most machines in the table would lose money there.
Up to what electricity price each machine pays off
For decision-making, the break-even electricity price is more useful than revenue alone: how much you can pay per kWh for the machine to still make money. It is calculated as daily revenue ÷ daily consumption in kWh. It depends only on the machine's efficiency and today's revenue per unit, not on its size. What J/TH means exactly is explained in our article on ASIC power consumption and efficiency.
| Machine | Consumption per day | Pays off up to an electricity price of |
|---|---|---|
| Antminer Z15 Pro | 68.3 kWh | 11.7 Kč/kWh |
| Antminer Z15K | 64.1 kWh | 8.2 Kč/kWh |
| Antminer S23 Hyd | 128.4 kWh | 3.7 Kč/kWh |
| Antminer S21e XP Hyd 3U | 268.3 kWh | 2.7 Kč/kWh |
| Antminer S21 XP Imm | 97.2 kWh | 2.6 Kč/kWh |
| Antminer L9 / L9 Hyd 2U | 80.6 / 136.1 kWh | 2.5 Kč/kWh |
| Antminer S21 Pro+ | 88.2 kWh | 2.3 Kč/kWh |
| IceRiver KS7 | 84.0 kWh | 1.3 Kč/kWh |
The values apply at today's difficulty and exchange rate, as of 18 October 2026. If revenue per unit falls by a fifth, the break-even price falls by a fifth too. That is why it is wise to keep a margin: a machine that only just pays off above your electricity price can slip into a loss within a few months.
Why Zcash leads today, not Bitcoin
Each network's difficulty evolves independently. On Bitcoin the entire world's huge hashrate competes, so revenue per 1 TH/s is low and every crown spent on electricity counts. The Zcash network is much smaller and there are few powerful Equihash machines on the market, which is why revenue per kWh is several times higher today.
This has its downsides too. Zcash has lower liquidity than Bitcoin, Equihash machines are harder to resell second-hand, and the arrival of a new generation can quickly knock revenue down. We cover this in more detail in the article why Zcash and Monero pay more than bitcoin.
Bitcoin: hydro and immersion ahead of air
Water-cooled machines lead on SHA-256 today. The S23 Hyd has an efficiency of 9.5 J/TH and pays off up to 3.7 Kč/kWh, while the air-cooled S21 Pro+ at 15 J/TH only up to 2.3 Kč/kWh. Hydro machines also run at around 50 dB instead of 75 dB, but they need a water loop and a three-phase connection, so they belong in a data centre.
The S21e XP Hyd 3U has the highest absolute revenue, but lower efficiency (13 J/TH) and consumption above 11 kW. What the new series brings is described in the article Antminer S23, and the differences between the S21 variants in the S21, S21+ and S21 Pro comparison.
Litecoin and Dogecoin: the L9 with merged mining
The Antminer L9 mines both coins at once, and most of the revenue today comes from Dogecoin. Per unit of electricity it performs similarly to the best air-cooled Bitcoin machines. The advantage is that revenue does not depend on a single coin. The water-cooled L9 Hyd 2U has the same efficiency, just higher hashrate and lower noise.
BTCB2: the highest figures, the biggest risk
Blake2b-Sia miners show many times higher revenue on paper than anything else. However, BTCB2 block rewards have been frozen for roughly 45 days since September 2026, and the coin trades on only a handful of platforms with very low liquidity. Today's revenue is therefore more a crediting of coins than real income in crowns.
What happened and how to think about the revenue is discussed in the article Bitcoin BLAKE2b froze miners' rewards. If you are considering BTCB2, factor in scenarios in which the freeze is extended or the price falls.
Kaspa: today only with very cheap electricity
The IceRiver KS7 currently only pays off up to an electricity price of around 1.3 Kč/kWh. For comparison: in summer 2024 we quoted a daily profit of 69 USD for the Bitmain KS5 Pro with 21 TH/s. Today 30 TH/s mines roughly 107 Kč gross. That is exactly how quickly the ranking of the most profitable machines can flip.
Why the ranking changes and what to watch out for
A machine's revenue is determined by three things you cannot influence: the coin price, the network's total hashrate (difficulty) and the block reward. When a new generation of machines enters the market, difficulty rises and revenue for all older models falls. With Bitcoin, the block reward is also halved every four years (the halving).
A historical example from our older overviews: the Kadena machine Antminer KA3 earned 69.41 USD a day in 2022 with electricity at 0.12 USD/kWh; 248 days later only 6.79 USD. An ASIC miner cannot be converted to another algorithm. When its coin stops paying, you can only mine a different coin on the same algorithm.
Also beware of older rankings that quoted payback “excluding electricity”. For large machines such a figure is misleading, as electricity makes up most of the operating costs. That is why the table above always includes profit after electricity.
