Please note: We are not offering the Antminer X5 at the moment – it is not available to us. Bitmain cancelled its announced successor, the X9, before delivery – for details, see the article Antminer X9 cancelled: Bitmain withdrew its Monero miner before delivery →

Older model. The Antminer X5 is an ASIC miner from Bitmain, launched in September 2023. It mines Monero (XMR) and other coins on the RandomX algorithm. We are not offering this model at the moment. We keep its specifications here for owners and for anyone comparing newer machines with it.

The Antminer X5 was Bitmain's first mass-produced Monero miner (RandomX algorithm). Instead of classic ASIC chips it uses RISC-V processors. Bitmain eventually withdrew the announced successor, the Antminer X9, before launch.

What to replace it with today

We currently have no direct successor for the same algorithm. Useful links: article: Antminer X9 cancelled, article: Zcash and Monero vs. bitcoin. You will find our current range in the ASIC miners section. Our ASIC miner profitability overview shows how much each machine earns today.

Setup guide

We will set it up for you free of charge. Send us your wallet address and the miner will mine for you alone. If you do not have a wallet yet, we will help you create one.

Setting up an Antminer (Bitmain) miner
  1. Connect the network first, then the power. Connect the miner to your router with a network cable, on the same network as your computer. Only then switch it on.
  2. Find the IP address. Download the official Bitmain IP Reporter, run it and press the IP Report button on the miner – the address will appear in the program. You can also find it in your router’s list of devices.
  3. Log in. Enter the IP address in your browser and log in with the default username and password root / root. Then change the password.
  4. Set up the pool. In the pool settings (Miner Configuration), enter the pool address in the form stratum+tcp://…; as the Worker, enter your pool account name or wallet address, a full stop and the machine name (e.g. account.miner1), and x as the password. Save.
  5. Check that it is mining. After a few minutes the miner will start mining. You can check the hashrate on the pool’s website.

Switch on Hyd (water-cooled) and Imm (immersion) models only after connecting them to the cooling circuit.
