Archived model. The Goldshell KD BOX II and KD BOX Pro are ASIC miners from Goldshell, released in 2022. They mine Kadena (KDA) on the Blake2s algorithm. We no longer offer these models. We keep their specifications here for owners and for anyone comparing them with newer machines.

The Goldshell KD BOX II and KD BOX Pro are small, quiet Kadena miners for the home. They are powered by a standard PC power supply, which is not included. This page combines both versions.

Setup guide

We will set it up for you free of charge. Send us your wallet address and the miner will mine for you alone. If you do not have a wallet yet, we will help you create one.

Setting up a Goldshell miner
  1. Check the miner after unpacking. Its appearance, the fan and the sounds at start-up. If anything is wrong, take a photo and contact us or Goldshell support.
  2. Prepare the power supply. Use the recommended Goldshell PSU – a standard ATX PSU may shorten the miner’s lifespan. BOX II models need two 6-pin connectors, the BOX one. Always connect the cables before switching on.
  3. Connect the network. Connect the network cable to your router, then switch the miner on. After the self-test the red light goes out and the green one stays on.
  4. Find the miner. At find.goldshell.com you will see all the miners on your network; click one to open its control panel.
  5. Unlock the miner. Click Unlock in the top right-hand corner and enter the default password 123456789.
  6. Add a pool. In the Miner menu click Add, enter the pool address, the username (your pool account or sub-account) and a password, e.g. x. Click Apply and wait until the pool turns green.
  7. Choose a mode. In the Miner menu you can switch between Hashrate Mode and the energy-saving Low-power Mode.
