Discover the world of solo mining with the NerdOctaxe – the most powerful member of the NerdMiner family.

The NerdOctaxe is not just a gadget; it is a serious tool for Bitcoin enthusiasts that combines the looks of a design accessory with the performance of professional hardware. While ordinary USB miners are mostly for fun, the NerdOctaxe is a full-fledged mining station fully adapted to the home environment.

Why choose the NerdOctaxe?

  1. Next-generation efficiency: eight BM1370 chips achieve an energy efficiency of around 16 J/TH – one of the best figures for a compact device on the market.
  2. Smart cooling: a dual cooling system removes heat efficiently even under sustained load, without disturbing you with noise.
  3. Learning and a chance to win: a perfect device for understanding the Bitcoin protocol. You take part in decentralising the network and have a real (if small) chance of winning an entire block reward (the so-called "Bitcoin Lottery").

Technical specifications:

  • Algorithm: SHA-256 (Bitcoin, Bitcoin Cash, etc.)
  • Hashrate: 9.6 TH/s or 12 TH/s (+/- 5%)
  • Power draw: ~160–180 W (9.6 TH/s), ~200 W (12 TH/s)
  • Connectivity: Wi-Fi 2.4 GHz
  • Design: compact aluminium chassis that suits a modern interior.

In the box: 1x NerdOctaxe Gamma miner, 1x power supply (12V), 1x design stand, short manual in English/Czech.

Key features

  • Industrial-grade performance in a home package: at the heart of the NerdOctaxe are 8 highly efficient BM1370 chips (the same technology as in the Antminer S21 Pro). An ideal balance between performance and electricity costs.
  • Quiet enough for a flat: thanks to two Thermalright AXP90 X53 coolers, the noise level stays between 40–45 dB. You can happily keep the miner on your desk or in the living room.
  • Complete freedom with open source: the device runs AxeOS. Suitable for solo mining (a very small chance of mining an entire block) as well as for joining a pool.
  • Interactive monitoring: the built-in 1.9" LILYGO T-Display S3 colour LCD shows hashrate, chip temperature, the current BTC price and network statistics in real time. It is controlled through a web interface over Wi-Fi.
  • Plug & Play: a 12V power supply and an aluminium stand are included. Just plug it in, set up Wi-Fi and start mining.

Setup guide

We will set it up for you free of charge. Send us your wallet address and the miner will mine for you alone. If you do not have a wallet yet, we will help you create one.

How to set up an ASIC miner
  1. Connect the network first, then the power. Connect the miner to your router with a network cable, on the same network as your computer. Only then switch it on.
  2. Find the IP address. You can find it in your router’s list of devices or with the manufacturer’s tool.
  3. Log in. Enter the IP address in your browser. The default username and password are in the manufacturer’s manual – we will gladly send it to you.
  4. Set up the pool. Enter the pool address in the form stratum+tcp://…; as the Worker, enter your pool account name or wallet address, a full stop and the machine name, and x as the password. Save.
  5. Check that it is mining. After a few minutes the miner will start mining. You can check the hashrate on the pool’s website.
