Description

The Nexus L1 is a small open-source miner for the Scrypt algorithm (Litecoin and Dogecoin) from Nexus Miner with four BM1491 chips (the same generation as in the Antminer L9). At 330 MH/s it draws around 70 W and fits on a desk. On pools with merged mining it also mines Bellscoin (BEL) and other merged coins alongside LTC and DOGE.

What it is good for

  • Solo mining (“the lottery”): the miner connects to a solo pool and tries to find a whole block. At this hashrate the chance is very small – treat it as a game, not as income.
  • Pool: in a regular pool it mines only token amounts.
  • Learning and tuning: AxeOS web interface, frequency and voltage settings, hashrate and temperature monitoring.

Specifications

  • Algorithm: Scrypt (Litecoin and Dogecoin, merged mining of Bellscoin and others)
  • Hashrate: 330 MH/s (0.33 GH/s)
  • Power draw: approx. 70 W

Setup guide

We will set it up for you free of charge. Send us your wallet address and the miner will mine for you alone. If you do not have a wallet yet, we will help you create one.

How to set up an ASIC miner
  1. Connect the network first, then the power. Connect the miner to your router with a network cable, on the same network as your computer. Only then switch it on.
  2. Find the IP address. You can find it in your router’s list of devices or with the manufacturer’s tool.
  3. Log in. Enter the IP address in your browser. The default username and password are in the manufacturer’s manual – we will gladly send it to you.
  4. Set up the pool. Enter the pool address in the form stratum+tcp://…; as the Worker, enter your pool account name or wallet address, a full stop and the machine name, and x as the password. Save.
  5. Check that it is mining. After a few minutes the miner will start mining. You can check the hashrate on the pool’s website.
