Description

Archived model. The NVIDIA CMP 170HX is a mining graphics card from NVIDIA, launched in 2021. It mines on the Ethash/Etchash algorithm (formerly Ethereum, today mainly Ethereum Classic) and other GPU coins. We no longer offer this model. We keep the specifications here for those who own one or want to compare newer machines with it.

The NVIDIA CMP 170HX is a mining card without video outputs, built on the GA100 chip (the same generation as the A100). Thanks to its HBM2e memory, it reached around 164 MH/s on Ethash at up to 250 W. Depending on the settings, it could also be run more efficiently (around 200 W). After Ethereum's switch to proof-of-stake in September 2022, GPU mining lost much of its profitability. We have also merged the smaller CMP 90HX into this page.

Setup guide

We will set it up for you free of charge. Send us your wallet address and the miner will mine for you alone. If you do not have a wallet yet, we will help you create one.

How to set up an ASIC miner
  1. Connect the network first, then the power. Connect the miner to your router with a network cable, on the same network as your computer. Only then switch it on.
  2. Find the IP address. You can find it in your router’s list of devices or with the manufacturer’s tool.
  3. Log in. Enter the IP address in your browser. The default username and password are in the manufacturer’s manual – we will gladly send it to you.
  4. Set up the pool. Enter the pool address in the form stratum+tcp://…; as the Worker, enter your pool account name or wallet address, a full stop and the machine name, and x as the password. Save.
  5. Check that it is mining. After a few minutes the miner will start mining. You can check the hashrate on the pool’s website.
