Setting up the ElphaPex DG Home 1: IP address, login and pool

You can set up the ElphaPex DG Home 1 in four steps: connect it to the router with a cable, find its IP address with the ElphapexTool IP Scanner, log in in your browser with the username root and password root, and enter the pool, worker and password in the Miner tab. After saving and restarting, it starts mining Litecoin and Dogecoin. The whole thing takes about 15 minutes.
Summary
- The DG Home 1 is a home Scrypt miner: 2.0–2.1 GH/s depending on the version, 620–630 W power draw, around 50 dB noise, standard 100–240 V socket.
- You can find the IP address with the ElphapexTool IP Scanner from the manufacturer's website.
- Default login: root / root.
- The pool is set in the Miner tab; confirm changes with the Save and Reboot buttons.
ElphaPex DG Home 1 specifications
| Parameter | Value |
|---|---|
| Algorithm | Scrypt (Litecoin + Dogecoin) |
| Hashrate | 2.0–2.1 GH/s (depending on version) |
| Power draw | 620–630 W |
| Efficiency | around 0.3 J/MH |
| Noise | around 50 dB |
| Power supply | 100–240 V, standard socket |
| Network | Ethernet 10/100 Mb/s |
| Operating temperature | 5–45 °C |
Step 1: Prepare the location and connect the miner
- Take the miner out of the packaging and check that it was not damaged in transit.
- Make sure you have the power cable and network cable.
- Place the miner on a stable surface and leave at least 30 cm of free space around it so it can dissipate heat.
- Don't place it in direct sunlight or in a damp location.
- Connect the network cable to the router and then plug in the power.
Step 2: Find the miner on the network
You can find the miner's IP address with the ElphapexTool IP Scanner. Download it from the Elphapex support page: click Tools (point 1 in the picture) and download the tool marked as point 2.
After installation, run the tool:
- Click the AutoIPport button.
- Then click Scan.
- The miner appears in the list of found devices together with its IP address.
If the miner is not on the list, check that it is switched on and connected by cable to the same network as the computer.
Step 3: Log in to the admin panel
- Copy the miner's IP address from the list and paste it into your browser's address bar.
- Log in: username root, password root.
- The miner's admin interface opens. If the page doesn't load, check the network connection.
Step 4: Set the pool and wallet
Go to the Miner tab.
Fill in the mining pool details:
-
Pool Address: the pool address with port, e.g.
stratum+tcp://pool.example.com:3333. -
Worker Name: depending on the pool, either your wallet address with the machine name (
your_wallet.dghome1), or your pool account username with the machine name. -
Password: usually
x, unless the pool requires something else.
Note: always use your own wallet or account, otherwise the mining will not be credited to you. For Scrypt miners, choose a pool with merged mining that pays out both Litecoin and Dogecoin. You will find the exact worker format and port in the chosen pool's guide. How pool payout methods differ is explained in our article PPS, PPLNS and FPPS.
Click Save and then Reboot. The miner restarts, loads the new settings and connects to the pool.
You can then monitor hashrate and status in the Dashboard section. The average hashrate settles after roughly 15–30 minutes. If you don't want to deal with a pool, you can also sell your hashpower via the NiceHash platform.
Common problems
| Problem | What to do |
|---|---|
| IP Scanner can't find the miner | The computer and miner must be on the same network. Check the cable and the lights on the network port, or find the IP in your router's admin panel. |
| Can't log in | The default credentials are root / root. If someone has changed them, a factory reset according to the manufacturer's instructions will help. |
| The worker doesn't appear on the pool | Check the pool address including the port and the worker format. Changes only take effect after Save and Reboot. |
| The miner is louder than you expected | In a warm room, the fans speed up. Provide a supply of cooler air and free space around the machine. |
How much the DG Home 1 earns
Today, 1 GH/s on Scrypt earns 1,86 Kč in Litecoin and 10,60 Kč in Dogecoin a day. The DG Home 1 with 2.1 GH/s therefore mines around CZK 26 a day gross and uses about 15 kWh. Mining breaks even up to an electricity price of roughly CZK 1.73/kWh (as of 18 Oct 2026).
At a typical household electricity price, it therefore pays off mainly with surplus solar power, or when the heat from the miner replaces other heating. A comparison with other quiet machines can be found in our article Quiet ASIC miner for Dogecoin and Litecoin.
