Miner hosting in Dubai: we visited our data centre

Author: Updated 2 min read

In September 2024, members of our team travelled to Dubai to inspect the hosting centre where we run customers' ASIC miners. Dubai is attractive for hosting thanks to its stable infrastructure and affordable electricity. As of 16 October 2026, electricity at the Dubai #2 site cost 0.0665 USD/kWh including management.

What happened

On site we checked how the data centre works in practice: backup power, cooling, security and the procedure for installing new machines. Inspecting sites in person matters to us – customers ship their miner to the data centre and need to be able to rely on it being looked after.

Why hosting in Dubai

  • Infrastructure: modern data centres with backup power and air conditioning.
  • Stability: the United Arab Emirates takes a welcoming approach to mining and cryptocurrencies, with clear rules.
  • Capacity: the site can host individual machines as well as larger installations.

Beware of the heat: in summer outdoor temperatures exceed 40 °C, so cooling here is more expensive than in, say, Finland or Norway.

How the site is doing today

Site Electricity price as of 16 Oct 2026 Uptime Status
Dubai #2 0.0665 USD/kWh 98.35% available

Other sites and their current prices can be found on the ASIC miner hosting page. The cheapest site currently comes to 1,13 Kč per kWh.

What this means for miners in the Czech Republic

If you pay more than 5 CZK/kWh for electricity at home, running a large miner in a data centre abroad works out several times cheaper. How much each machine earns today after electricity costs is shown in the ASIC miner profitability overview.
