What happened

Together with the data centre in Ethiopia, we also opened the Finland site in December 2024. While Ethiopia appeals mainly with its low price, Finland offers a stable European environment and environmentally friendly energy.

Why Finland

  • Renewable energy: the data centre is powered by hydro and wind power plants.
  • Cold climate: for most of the year outside air is enough to cool the miners, reducing both costs and the risk of overheating.
  • Stable environment: an EU member state with an advanced grid and infrastructure.

Finland is a good choice for those who want their machine in Europe and value reliable operation. Compared with household electricity at more than 5 CZK/kWh, running costs are several times lower.
